Following the departure of Trent Alexander-Arnold as a free agent, Liverpool faced a pressing question: who would fill the right-back position? The club appears to have found their answer.
Details: According to Nicolo Schira, Liverpool have reached a full agreement on contract terms with Bayer Leverkusen’s right-back Jeremie Frimpong.
To secure the Dutch defender, Liverpool will pay Bayer the release clause of €40 million.
The Reds are expected to officially announce the deal after the current season concludes.
The 24-year-old Frimpong is a Manchester City academy product. This season, he has tallied 5 goals and 12 assists in 48 appearances.
